Continuing Education Credit
IFT’s food science-related webcasts and online courses qualify for Certified Food Scientist (CFS) recertification contact hours (CH). CFS Certificants may claim 1 CH per hour of food science content. IFT is a continuing professional education provider (IN141) with the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics’ (AND) Commission on Dietetic Registration. Registered Dietitians and Dietetic Technicians may claim 1 CPE per hour of learning.
IFT's live and on-demand webcasts provide condensed, specific and applicable information on topics affecting the food industry. IFT webcasts last only 30-120 minutes, are delivered live to attendees for interaction with course faculty, and are recorded for “on-demand” viewing at a later date. How to write effective learning objectives (pdf)
Clearly communicate what you want the audience to learn! Learning objectives prepare learners for new skills they will obtain and be able to perform at the end of the educational activity.

Make sure the content in your program appropriately matches the learning level intended for the audience. Learners use this information to decide which programs best suit their educational needs.
